Tuition: $475
This fee covers all workshop sessions and classes, as well as all materials and musical scores for your ensemble and the workshop choir. A $50 late fee applies for registrations received on or after March 28, 2016.
Accommodations: $500/$450
This fee covers four nights and linens in a private bedroom with bath, all meals, and a parking permit at SSU. You may stay on June 14 and/or June 19 for an additional $85 per night per person. Meals are not included for these additional days.

Housing & Meals
You are encouraged to stay in Beaujolais Village at Sonoma State University, the deluxe on-campus residence apartments nearest Ives Hall and the Green Music Center where workshop sessions will be held. The four-night package fee is $500 for a private bedroom and bath, linens, all meals, and parking permit. These accommodations are in four-bedroom/four-bath apartment suites with shared living space and kitchen. All bedrooms are singles, are non-smoking, and are equipped with free wireless Internet access. Responsible use of alcohol is allowed in SSU residence halls. It must be consumed indoors and out of plain view.

For your own pleasure and use, you may choose to bring a tuning fork, musical instruments, bathing suit and/or a bicycle. The following items are NOT provided in SSU residence apartments: soap, shampoo, alarm clock, hair drier, iron, hangers, cooking utensils, waste basket, radio, television, telephone, computer. Laundry and recreational facilities are available for a small charge. Swimming is free in the Residential Community pool and hot tub. There is no air conditioning in any of SSU’s residential suites nor is it usually needed. You are liable for any damage that occurs to your room during your stay.
Linens Included are a pillow with case, two sheets, blanket, comforter, two bath towels and a washcloth.
Meals and dietary options
Meals are catered by the campus food service and include vegetarian choices. The dining area used by workshop residents will be in the newly opened state-of-the-art Student Center (http://www.sonoma.edu/ces/media/photo-gallery.html) and is approximately a 10-minute walk from rehearsal and lodging spaces. Resident meals begin with dinner on Wednesday, June 15.

SSU residential facilities contain units accessible to people with disabilities.
Please inform us in advance and in writing if you need special accommodation because of a disability.

If you wish to come a day early (Tuesday, June 14) or stay Sunday night (June 19), you may extend your reservation for $85 a night. This fee includes lodging and parking, but not meals.

You may reserve a room for a guest at the same rate and for the same time period as your own stay in campus housing. Please indicate the guest’s name on your registration form. Children under 18 and pets cannot be accommodated in campus residences.

Commuters are invited to dine with resident workshop participants in the Student Center. You must purchase each meal individually at the dining hall. You are not permitted to bring your own food into the dining hall.
On weekdays, sandwiches and salads are for sale at an outdoor café on campus. Fast food, ice cream, ethnic restaurants, and a convenience store are within easy walking distance from campus. Oliver's, an excellent supermarket, is located in a small strip mall about a mile away.

Dress in Sonoma County is casual, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Think ‘layers’ and bring a sweater and long pants so you’re ready for either hot or fairly cool weather conditions and for air conditioning in rehearsal areas.
Concert Dress
You are expected to provide and wear appropriate and conservative concert attire.
Women - Long black skirt or dressy pants, solid bright color blouse or shirt with sleeves (¾ or longer), black shoes or dressy sandals
(please, no tee shirts, strappy tops, flip flops)
Men - Long black pants, solid color long-sleeved shirt, black shoes and socks
All - Be sure to bring a black three-ring binder for your music.

Travel Planning & Check In
The workshop takes place at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, 45 miles north of San Francisco in the heart of Northern California’s wine country. The campus is beautifully landscaped and near several famous viticulture areas and tourist destinations.
If you are traveling from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles or San Diego, consider flying into the Santa Rosa airport. It's an easy 30 minute drive from campus.
NOTE: If you're traveling from outside California, please consider arriving early (on Tuesday instead of Wednesday). You need to be on campus by 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon - to check in, move into your apartment, and be ready for the 2:00 opening session/rehearsal. Travel from either San Francisco or Oakland airports to Rohnert Park takes a minimum of 90 minutes - and that's when traffic is light! We recognize that this plan adds extra expense, but several past participants have missed parts of the first session and/or experienced frustration and stress because of delayed flights or road traffic once they've left the airport.
Also, plan your departure based on Sunday's closing concert (June 19) ending around 6:00 pm and leaving campus by 6:30. Allow at least two hours to the San Francisco or Oakland airports, because Sunday evening traffic can be quite heavy. Alternatively, you may stay an additional night in your room on campus and depart the following morning.
Arrival by Airport Shuttle
Transportation via Airport Express is available to Rohnert Park from both San Francisco and Oakland airports. Currently the fare is $34 ($32 seniors and students with ID); cash only. The drive lasts 90 minutes to two hours. (www.airportexpressinc.com) Taxis run from the Rohnert Park stop to SSU for approximately $20.
Arrival by Car
Campus maps and directions to SSU are available at http://www.sonoma.edu/visit/. Campus parking permits are required and are included in the accommodation package. If you are a commuter, you'll need to purchase a permit each day (including Saturday & Sunday) for $5 per day.
Check in
Check in time on Wednesday, June 15, is in the Green Music Center lobby between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm. If you plan to arrive at Sonoma State University before noon on Wednesday, please notify us to make individual arrangements for check in.

Check out on Sunday morning, June 19 is 11:00am. The closing concert will end at approximately 6 pm, followed by a light reception.
