3. Audition recording
All applicants must submit a recent a cappella recording as part of the application process. A digital file submitted via email is preferred, but a CD is acceptable. Professional-level recording is not necessary (a “living-room recording” is fine); however, it needs to be of sufficient quality that a fair assessment can be made. The workshop directors will listen to candidates’ recordings for type of voice and for musicality, including tonality and pitch. This review will help them select workshop participants and repertoire for the chamber ensembles and give them a head start on workshop preparations.
There are two parts to the audition recording.
